Different Page Turn Speeds on 2 Different Kobo Touch

Received a replacement Kobo touch and despite updating it to the latest firmware, I noticed that there seemed to be a bit more lag with the page turns (settings set to refresh after 1 page turn).

Sure enough, a comparison with my wife's Kobo touch with the same firmware and mine shows a definite lag between the two. It's not earth shattering but it is noticeable and frustrating.

Would have thought page turn speeds are the same between all Kobo devices but clearly this is not the case?

If you're testing with different books, annotations, and display settings, that could contribute to variation in some small way.
Just a thought..

Also, sd card speeds (or the using/not using one) can affect the speed.

To really test it in comparable fashion:

1. wipe both to factory defaults
2. Use identical SD cards, or no sd cards at all
3. upgrade immediately to latest firmware
4. put identical books to both devices, and nothing else
5. test with identical font and display settings (spacing, margins, everything)
