Sorry, at a loss. Only thing I can think of is that it may have updated again?

Hello, I'm looking for the image for a Kobo WiFi (N647B).I was redirected here from another thread. The Kobo WiFi attempted to do an update to 1.9.12 and now will not boot anymore. Attempts to factory reset it failed. It was running version 1.9.10 before it failed, so I'm hoping to find that version, however I'd be happy with any version that works!
Thanks for any assistance / suggestions. |

@AnotherUnique: You might want to reread that redirect. I sent the image link. The mention of this thread was in response to parts of your post and an attempt to prevent the next person who found that thread from using it.

I just wanted to update the list that the screen I ordered does work. The firmware image also works no problems. So thanks David again. I refreshed the double sided tape that holds the screen down to the circuit board. Only use very thin tape such as used for mounting photographs. You don't want to stress the screen at all by trying to squeeze it when closing the case again. I didn't replace the adhesive around the front of the case that sticks to the front of the display. This was the source of me originally cracking the screen when I tried to open the ereader to get to the SD card inside. It was still sticky. Hopefully enough. I applied the screen in position before attempting to secure the connecting cable in the connector. I was concerned about getting it mounted squarely without the restriction of a cablefolded over. Perhaps some carefully applied heat might reduce the stresses on the display when opening it up. I don't know if this is the best advice available but it did work for me. At least don't make the mistakes I made. |

@val7: I do not send email to random addresses found on the net. You will need to enable Private Messaging. This is in the "Edit Options" of the control panel. If this isn't there, it has to be added somehow. You can try posting in https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=319819 to ask it to be enabled, or contact a moderator.
