shipping to China - HELP!

I am at an impass with my Q7 warranty. I need to return it to the manufacturer (who is in mainland China).

I was told that the address must be in Chinese characters or it will not get to them. The problem is not that I do not know how to write the characters; I can copy and paste just fine.

The problem is that www.USPS.com won't accept any special characters. I am stumped as to what to do next.

After you print the shipping label can't you just write the Chinese characters next to the address?

This doesn't help, but way back, in order to send a package from the US to Germany and not pay customs, one had to write "Gift" on the package in big bold letters. Enven when it was pointed out to the USPS geniuses that they were requiring everyone to label their packages as "Poison" in German...

If I knew how to write the characters then I wouldn't be having any trouble.

Maybe copy the characters and print them on a seperate label and stick that alongside the USPS label if there is enough room?

Yes, I saw the copy and paste but you could also copy the characters by hand. Anyway, don't want to argue about it, I was trying to help but failed.

I hadn't checked before becuase I had assumed it would be too expensive.

I was right. UPS would cost $84.

Use transliteration for the USPS label but also attach a separate label in Chinese printed from a text editor.
