Soved! Keeping track of multiple read dates
Don't know why I didn't figure this out before now, but the search and replace feature can move dates into long text boxes.
For users who like to keep track of multiple read dates on their books or any other bit of date metadata that tends to get lost in book merges, the search and replace feature in the edit metadata for multiple books can take dates and send them to text boxes. If you select append or prepend you keep whatever is already in the box and just add to it. Text boxes seem to never be deleted or accidentally overwritten when merging files. All the info in the box no matter how many times the book is merged just gets added. Also, I discovered that the time stamp can be moved if you create a custom column based on the date and move it wherever you want using the search and replace. This helped me when I kept finding libraries with no "date added" but correct time stamps. ![]() |
