Discovered my mistake at Fred Meyer today over the 16 GB internal storage. They are selling both the Tab 7.0 Plus and the Tab 2. They have the prices for both on the same card on the counter but have only the Tab Plus 16GB version on the counter.
So i was holding the Tab Plus , reading the Tab 2 Title and seeing the Tab Plus price. I figured out what was going on when i checked the about and saw Android 3.2 listed. The Tab 2 does have only 8GB. |

You can connect USB sticks or card readers via USB, all you need is a USB OTG cable ($4) and installing the free app StickMount from the market (requires root though). Not as elegant as popping an SD card on the device, but a simple solution for those who need more than the onboard storage gives you.
