PDF Bookmarks?

Are we ever going to see PDF bookmarks? This was "promised" a long time ago by iRex. I have seen a number of other individuals imploring for them as well. This and the good ol' back button would really be helpful and make the iLiad much improved.

I am just really frustrated with this issue. Not having this support really hobbles the device. Without bookmarks there is absolutely no point in carrying larger documents as the current form of document navigation is too cumbersome.

A search function would also be nice - though that seems like it would even be more of a pain to implement.

Sorry for the venting.

Yes bookmarks would be nice,

but I think search, your second request, is even more important.

especially for those of us who use it to store tons of technical documents.

Not very useful without search.

I am really flabbergasted that they did not include this feature right out of the box, it seems such a basic tool, and how hard can it be to implement?

It is not like they are inventing the wheel here...

Its PDF, HTML, TXT documents on linux for cripes sake.

I'd say bookmarks (and highlights) key features for serious reading software.

Search can be hard to implement well and can be really horrible if implemented badly!

If you implement search without consideration of bookmarks (highlights and possibly text annotations) - would this be frustrating (I for one would also want the ability to search my own typed notes and bookmarks as I make quite a few).

My vote would be for some software (PDF, MobiPocket or other) with a full feature set of scribble annotation, bookmarks, highlights and text annotation (all of which could be independantly searched eventually).
