Just in case this is useful ... if you want to make the official User Guide PDF accessible via the Kobo's Help system, you can do the following:
  1. Rename the PDF filename to userguide.pdf (possibly case-sensitive?)
  2. Copy it to the Kobo into directory /.kobo/guide/
  3. It should then be accessible via More > Help - at the bottom of the page, labelled 'User Guide' under sub-heading 'OTHER RESOURCES'

I hate to say but like so many modern devices / applications the best way of learning is to push buttons, touch screens, see what happens
And there may be helpful information on the Kobo website.

For example, for side-loading:

For some reason< Norton has blocked MobileRead as a dangerous forum>I had to wait a while to respond to posts> I could not even get into the forum>

I also have to use the shift lock to get lower case letters and turn off the shift lock to get capital letters> I cannot type a comma or period at all> This just started today when I tried to get into the forum>

Something weird is going on. Now my keyboard is working fine. I am using a Tap 20 and it has the keyboard on the screen. Now the commas and periods are working.

Thanks. I will try to rename the manual.

I think the Sage is going to be returned. There are too many issues with it. I have already posted them.

I suggest getting rid of Norton, It's awful with way too many false positives. It also slows down the computer. I use Windows security and I have no problem with it.
