Application to listen as great as Koreader?
Koreader is a great program that replaces the standard reader installed in Pocketbook. Since I installed it, I don't intend to run the standard one anymore. Pocketbook with Koreader is great - I use it every day. But sometimes.... I also listen to audiobooks (that's why I bought the Era device).
However, I have a certain dissatisfaction here. Maybe the author of Koreader would think (or another programmer) to write a program to play audiobooks? The standard one supplied with Pocketbook (e.g. in Era or Verse Pro equipment) is very weak! You can't take notes, save character descriptions, increasing the playback speed doesn't work correctly (after turning the application off and on, it doesn't remember the settings), the processor is heavily loaded, which is visible from the quickly draining battery. On Android, the best is Smart AudioBook Player. Wouldn't it be nice to create something similar for Pocketbook? Maybe the author would think about the KoListen application? ;-) Will there be any voices of support for the proposal? Are there those who listen to audiobooks from Pocketbook? |

Since manufacturers have introduced Bluetooth to the Pocketbook and a speaker in other models, why can't there be a BETTER application for using these functions? |

Wrt the OP, there is potentially a relatively quick solution if you're willing to put in some leg work (but there are no guarantees whatsoever). If you can get something like termusic to work, and that's a big if, you can control it through the terminal plugin in KOReader. Also strong emphasis on "something like." I merely did a quick search for "terminal music player" and that's the first result that popped up with support for remembering playback positions. |

Writing applications is a lot of work, and the developers of homebrew software don't get paid. It won't happen until somebody decides that doing it would a fun side project. If it doesn't exist yet, then that means no such developer has appeared yet.
