I hope that if this is the design, it is reversible -- I'm a leftie. But I can't see them ignore 15% of readers (and a lot of lefties are creative types; I am) and accelerometers are cheap these days. I'd be shocked if it weren't true.

This is a first for me, a new Kindle and I'm not even tempted to upgrade to it. I don't like the look of it at all, and my Voyage already has 300 ppi. This one is a big pass for me.

The buttons on one side, flip it to have them on the other side design reminds me of some older devices like the CyBook Opus & Pocketbook 360 with a little more polish.

I love how the last 2 names (Voyage and Oasis) both hint at water, yet they do not have a waterproof version yet. BN and Kobo have had waterproof versions for awhile now, and they cost the same or less. Almost nobody needs 20-month battery life on 1 charge. But some people read in the tub, on the beach, etc. and would appreciate some protection from water.

I want really long charges but have zero need of interest in anything waterproof. So there is that.

This is about the only place I hear folks talk about wanting waterproof readers. On kindle forums, I don't really hear it that much.

It would be a dream for me not to have to worry about battery life anymore. I charge every 3 days and always check my level. I read a lot and its all I get out of my kindles because of that. Free me from the cord and give me the comfy wedge for my poor hands. I'll still let others test drive the device, just like I did with the Voyage.

I have spilled water on my Voyage and its not a problem. But then I don't have a bathtub to lay in or a pool to go swimming in with my kindle in hand so I can't relate to that need. Even at the edge of pool with a few splashes I think the Voyage can handle that fine with the flat bezel.

Wow, an impressive rumour. The image just shows the screen in landscape instead of portrait, but otherwise is completely accurate!

Assuming, of course, that the current leaks are true, and Amazon aren't just messing with us before a big reveal of a waterproof, colour liquavista-based Kindle.
