The circle design will fail with huge books or collection like Steven Erikson's Complete Malazan Book of the Fallen or Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, which are in the neighborhood of 3.5 and 4.4 million words respectively. Luckily, e-books like these aren't very common. Kobo could maybe pick the fuzzy route and simply state that these e-books have more books than the average book. I still don't like it.

Well, I guess there's no one-size-fits-all approach, right? Would be nice if Kobo made some things configurable but that's off the table, I think.

Sorry, but as the Whee of Time series is separate eBooks, it's not any million words.

Wheel of Time is available as a single ebook as well as the individual ones. The only released novel not included is 'New Spring', which is a prequel to the series anyway.

Just looked at a book and the books stats are back. For Whispers Under Ground by Ben Aaronovitch it looks like this:

Name:	KoboBooks-BookStats.jpg
Views:	247
Size:	28.3 KB
ID:	147066

The others I have found look the same. So, they've given up on the circles to indicate size and just gone for numbers.

I'm looking at the Australian store, and not every book that has the stats. I don't see a pattern for what does and doesn't have stats.
