DIZZIE_NL - Version 0.3.0 (BETA)- DEPRECATED 15 Januari 2012 by Pr. BarnArt.

This plugin is for using DIZZIE.nl as a metadata source.
It is only for books in the dutch language, that's why it is called DIZZIE_NL.
It was based on my own plugin BOL_NL and the Barnes work by Grant Drake.

Main Features of DIZZIE_NL version 0.3.0

retrieve isbn
retrieve (multiple)author (no contributers/translators), title
retrieve comments, cover, rating, publisher en publishing year

Special Notes:

DIZZIE_NL only takes the author's name and the exact booktitle for it's search.
DIZZIE_NL only serves small covers ;(
requires calibre 0.8.0 or higher.
This is a Beta version, so please test and post your comments.

known issues:

When there are mulitple search-results, it only look at the odd ones of Dizzie.nl
no information for series and numbers

Installation Notes:

Download the attached zip file and install the plugin as described in the Introduction to plugins thread.
You can configure the plugin within Calibre.

Hi Pr.BarnArt,
I tried the plugin and it seems to be working.
I only tested it on about 10 books and there was 1 book the plugin did not find although I could find it on the Dizzie.nl website.
I also noticed that after downloading the metadata with the plugin, the isbn numbers are shown as invalid.

@Bolligske thanks for testing.
Which title/author was not found?

The non valid isbn-number was an issue for creating the plugin.
Although it is a valid number, parsing it with check-isbn it gives a false result.
With a false result I could also not offer a cover.So in this version I skipped the check_isbn function. I have to look how to clear this issue.

Ok, I have made an update.

Some authors did not have tip-info, thats why there were no result for them.
This is fixed.

I also look again at the non-valid isbn and fixed it also.

Stupid me

. When parsing the isbn I started with the second number.
It took me a lot of time, to make it work with that error.
With the correct startposition there isn't a problem at all.

I am porting some plugins to QT5.
At this point I noticed that the plugin doesnot work anymore, but I did not get any info about that for more than a year.
My conclusion is that this plugin is not used anymore, so it can be deprecated.
