Android Device Plugin and Samsung Tab

Hi:

I have setup the android plugin to send the books to the main memory but it keeps sending the books to the mini-sd card. The only way I can get it to send the books to the main memory is when the card is not connected to the tab. How do I get it to send to books to the main memory and not the card when the card is installed? I need the books on the main memory in order for the kindle app to see them.

By any chance have you set the 'default send to device action' on the pull down menu attached to the send to device button? Setting it to "Storage card A" would explain what you are seeing.

Yes I did but it still sends them to the card instead. I did it three times with a reboot between each try and still the same thing.

Did you change it back to "Send to main memory"?

When the tab is plugged in, can you see both main memory and the sd card? Do you have two device buttons, one for main and one for card A? If not, then is there a drive letter assigned for each of the locations (see My Computer)?

No I do not see both in Calibre but they both have an assigned drive letter from My Computer.

Could you run Debug Device Detection (preferences -> misc) and post the results? Have the tab connected with the sd card in it.

OK, I think this is might a bug, but need to check with Kovid. At minimum, the Android driver needs another configuration entry.

Details: The problem is two-fold. First, that card name (PROD_SGH-T849_CARD) is not known to the Android driver, but the main memory name (PROD_SGH-T849) is. Second, the 'name' of main memory is a prefix of the name of the SD card, so the drive existence test seems to match both. Because both match, it takes the last one, which is the SD card.

Yes. He said that it was sufficient to add the missing description. IIRC I added it (I am away from my computer for some time). Try it. I hope it works.
