Output auto-change to mobi

Hi All, I'm new to Calibre and to the forum.
I was just wondering if there was a setting or other means by which I can make any ebook change format automatically to Mobi when I go to load it on my Kindle?
I've poked around the settings and the FAQ but haven't found anything.
Ive changed the preferred output format to Mobi but when transfering a PDF it still sends as a PDF which is crap on the kindle.

Preferences, Advanced, Plugins, Device Interface Plugins, Select the Kindle plugin for your Kindle version, Click Customize Plugin, Uncheck all formats you don't want sent to the device (PDF for instance). Now when you send any of those formats it will be converted to the first format in that list that calibre supports (defaults is MOBI).
