Hi, I don't know if anyone will see this, but me and a couple of others are experiencing an issue where MRPI can't install any packages (namely python and linkss)
I have PW4, but others have different devices (that I can't remember off the top of my head). I was using 1.15.x, and tried the old MRPI for pre 1.13, and it installed fine, hotfix too, but trying to install packages gave me the following error for both: ./install.sh: line 106: ./xzdec: not found tar: short read Hu oh... Got return code 1 . . .  Then I updated to the latest firmware (1.17.x) and used the newer post 1.16.x MRPI, and again, MRPI installed seemingly without issue, but again the installation of python and linkss gave me that error. MRPI Broken, cannot install anything
Hi guys, just posting incase anyone knows a fix or has the same issue.
I have the PW4 (PW 10th gen) I originally had 1.15.x, and succesfully jailbroke and installed KUAL and mrpi. However, upon trying to install python and linkss, both failed with the same message in the mrinstaller log file: ./install.sh: line 106: ./xzdec: not found tar: short read Hu oh... Got return code 1 . . . The currently available python packages are not built for HF Kindle firmwares, which are all versions 5.16.3 and higher.

Do you know if this is also the case for linkss? it shouldnt depend on python unless using the last cover feature (as far as im aware) Also, I tried to install USBNetwork mod and it failed the exact same way as the others. All mod installs fail with the ./xzdec: not found Thanks

the screensaver plugin is not working for me either. I'm on 5.17, so we may have to wait for the firmware fix
