The behavior has changed. Given this column set:
where "comp4" is a composite, editing "Title" with F2 then pressing tab goes to Authors (correct), then Date (correct) then skips all the way to Rating. The columns "Enum2, mybool, series, Series, and Tags are editable. If I press Edit in enum2... then press tab it skips way down the column list. |

The problem is that the new closeEditor is working with logical indices instead of visual indices. I'll submit a PR soon to fix this.

I too have seen this tab editing bug. When this is fixed, can we please have a 7.26.01 release? Thanks.

Yeah in all my excitement at finally finding the root cause of the issues with editing in the book list I forgot about the case of hidden/order changed columns. Now fixed, with help from chaley.

![]() I don't need any of the other changes in 7.26, so I'll use 7.25 until 7.27 is released. BR |

I regard preview releases as betas, so I install the Portable version in a 'Sandpit'.
Added: By definition I never need anything today that I didn't have yesterday… except maybe urgent medical care. BR Last edited by BetterRed; 02-14-2025 at 03:52 PM. |

Well, taking into account I use F2 and tab a lot, an 7.25 broke the conversion from mobi to epub, I think I'll stay on 7.24 for now.

Running calibre from source, the issue with editing the book list does seem to be fixed in my limited testing.
