Windows 11 24H2

For anyone worried (that it may not work with calibre) about updating Windows 11 to the new 24H2 version, there is nothing to worry about as it works with calibre.

I just updated and calibre is working as it should.

I'm still on Windows 10. I won't update to Windows 11 until the support ends.

calibre also works with the latest Windows Preview (26120.3073). And I vaguely seem to remember posting about calibre working with Windows 11 24H2 back in March, 2024.

I also remember the thread that was posted not too long ago about someone saying that calibre was not working after he updated to 24h2.

I decided to give 24h2 a chance to mature some. So I installed some reg entries to keep the update from happening. Then last night I decided to back off the reg entries and update. All is working well.

As mentioned, I've been running 24H2 since it was in preview and never had any issues with installing or starting calibre. Several people have reported issues with calibre, the majority of which seem to be related to QT and video drivers while quite a few of the others have been with installation issues and a few oddities such as calibre starting on a non-existent second monitor.
