How to Fix WiFi Connection Issue in KOReader on Kobo Libra Colour?
I’m using a Kobo Libra Colour, and I’m experiencing an issue with WiFi when using KOReader.
My usage scenario involves switching between three different WiFi networks. When I connect to WiFi in KOReader, it always shows a successful connection. However, only the network that was most recently connected using the original system actually works for accessing my WebDAV cloud storage and downloading files. In other words, if I can't access WebDAV, I need to exit KOReader, connect to the WiFi once using the original system, and then return to KOReader. After doing this, KOReader can successfully connect and access the WebDAV storage. Is there a way to resolve this issue without having to exit KOReader? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! |

New Discovery: Restarting KOReader Fixes the WiFi Issue
I recently discovered that simply restarting KOReader allows me to connect to WebDAV successfully, without needing to reconnect to WiFi using the original system. This suggests that KOReader's WiFi connection logic might have an issue—while it shows "connected," the network may not be fully initialized. However, restarting KOReader seems to refresh the network state, making WebDAV accessible again. Is there a way to fix this issue without having to restart KOReader every time? Any insights would be appreciated! |

You may want to post about this issue in the KOReader forum.

@DRGocia
May I ask whether you access your WebDAV server with or without credentials? The server I am using requires credentials (no anonymous login possible) but when I am trying to connect to it via the KOReader client no credentials message box will pop-up. Embedding the credentials into the http server address does work with other clients but unfortunately not with the KOReader client, at least not with the syntax I use and which works with other clients. Maybe there are different ways of incorporating login credentials into the http address, I don’t know… FYI: All this is happening on my local WiFi so security is not a concern with embedded credentials. Would you mind sharing your way of doing it? Thanks! |
