Crime novels like John Connolly's Charlie Parker series

I've been hugely enjoying John Connolly's Charlie Parker detective novel series for years now. I love how these are noir novels with the supernatural and paranormal woven into the narrative, but because Connolly is such a good writer it feels entirely credible, never descends into schlock, and suspension of disbelief is frictionless. Connolly's storytelling powers are extremely potent, with characters you grow attached to, and an emotional depth not common in modern popular fiction. I was wondering if there were similar crime novels/series out there which aren't downright horror novels, but which have elements of the supernatural in them.

Have you tried the Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher?

Yes! They're excellent books, and I've read all but two in the main series. Although I'd say that they're more firmly in the fantasy/horror genre, while the Charlie Parker books are just on the other side of the line, still in crime fiction.

Another suggestion is the Spencer series by Robert B. Parker. They are great and because of where the stories mostly take place, I know most of the locations well.
