Lightbulb Free (DRM-free PDF) Obelisker i Rom [Danish Academic Archaeological Artifact History]

Obelisker i Rom (Obelisks in Rome) by Lise Manniche, an assistant professor of Egyptology at the University of Copenhagen, is her Danish-language lavishly photo-illustrated academic survey of the thirteen Egyptian obelisks in the city of Rome, covering their history from ancient to modern times, free courtesy of the Aarhus University Press in Denmark.

This is their Danish-language Free Book of the Month selection for November. It appears to be written in an accessible, tour guide sort of style, and contains maps of the obelisks' past and present-day locations, as well as translations of their associated original texts.

Currently free throughout November directly @ the university's dedicated promo page (DRM-free PDF available worldwide), and you can read more about the title on its regular catalogue page.

This is a 36 meg PDF which you probably don't want to download while on a device with data limits.
