This almost always works. Copy the image from the faulty SD card to a new SD card, boot into recovery mode, and perform "Recover the system." This won't be a problem with the 6C1 motherboard, but for the 6B2, you'll first need to flash a different recovery.img file; I wrote about this somewhere. Although a "Wipe data/factory reset" might be sufficient.
