Search function on the PRS 600

I was wondering if any of you have any experience with searching through large pdf documents on the 600.

The sole reason i would buy the touch edition is that i want to search trough my (medical) ebooks. It would involve 1200 page pdf's. Can anyone tell me what kind of performance and results these kind of searches yield?

Have you tried searching through a 1200-page PDF with Adobe Reader on a computer?

Not sure about you, but for me it is painfully slow. I can only imagine this is going to take forever on PRS-600.

searching a 300 page pdf is perfectly responsive, but no idea how badly it would degrade.

I don't know which kind of documentation you'd like to browse through, but maybe you can "divide" it in some groups of chapters/chapters? Just for the reader? (If it sound silly, I apologise

)
