Dante, feel free to ask questions - most people here are ereader enthusiasts and only too happy to bang on about our hobby!

The library in my PocketBook can be paged up and down by nice, normal arrows to tap; no swiping unless you want to.

Not sure if it makes any difference but many of the devices also turn pages when tapped on the right side of the page (or left to go back), just in case it’s the swipe that’s a specific issue.

Kobo can be set to tap or swipe or to just swipe and ignore a tap for page turning.

When you flip through your library, you can turn the pages with the page turn buttons and look at the covers. This works with all the readers suggested to you.
