Weird behavior in the book viewer, can't figure out how to correct in editor
Sometimes when I import a file into Calibre and convert it, say import a PDF file and covert to epub, partway into the book there will be a large gray area appear at the bottom of the book in the viewer, with a small vertical scroll-bar on the left in this gray area at the bottom.

I have tried going through the HTML files changing things, CSS files changing things. I can not get rid of this gray area at the bottom. It is an annoyance, and eats up visible reading area.

Does anyone know what causes this and how to correct it? Thanks for any assistance anyone can give on this matter

That suggests it might be some sort of footnote glitch - how about a screen shot.

Does it look anything like this
