Problem with Calibre
I reside in two different countries and as such have two different computers. I keep my documents synchronized using Goodsync. This works fine with all my other files (pictures music etc) but when I've synced the calibre library the books although there ca not be seen in Calibre is then any way of making them to be seen or do they all have to added again.
I have a very large book collection as Kindle saves me carrying cases of paper backs. Thanks |

Calibre questions belong in the Calibre forum. I'm moving this thread there.
Thanks. |

The Calibre Library is a complex use of a Database and a File System. Every change must be performed in perfect harmony, following the same OS imposed rules.
Cross OS sync is problematic. Filename Case being just one of the gotcha's . System Language can be another. You might consider Using Calibre Portable on a pocket sized Hard drive (for best performance) if you use Windows, and avoid the synch issue. |
