Typically, you should just post that you are in queue here - whoever has it should look to see who is next in the thread.
They would then contact you for your email and then it would repeat itself. |

I sent my e-mail yesterday to Armor78154 and I'm waiting to receive the code from him. If you can PM your e-mail address, I'll forward the code to you as soon as I receive it.

I've PM'd hbernier a couple of times but no answer so far. Is there anyone above or below that in the thread who can keep the chain going?
Thanks. |

plib, I'm not sure what to tell you. I suspect that hbernier waited a few days and, when there was no apparent interest, went ahead and used the code. In order to pass it on you have to have the next person's email address when you go through the checkout process.

For information, if you think you are the last in line with no obvious further interest, yet, then check out and add a factitious email address, you will get a copy of the email with a new code and if a late arrival turns up you can PM the code to them. I know this is of no help to plib this time but perhaps people will eventually learn how to keep this going forever.

I think I slightly preferred this selection to March's. I should have stepped forward, but I was new to the site, then. Maybe I'll jump in for April.

Thanks to Andreiuta I received the code and managed to use it successfully. If there's anyone left who's interested in this bundle please PM me. I have the code for the next in the chain.
For future reference the system advocated by weedfreak above works beautifully. I actually used an existing throwaway account but it would work fine with a fake account as a copy of the code is sent to the person making the purchase. If everyone involved ensures that they generate a new code on checkout (whether there is an existing next recipient or not), then there is no reason the chain should die. Thanks again to Andreiusta. |

Code sent to jhempel24. He is now the current last-in-line to PM for the next code.
For those who are a bit confused about the process, as I was the first time, I've done a quick step-by-step guide. I think it's all correct and complete, but please post any errors or corrections. Please note, initiating a gift code chain does NOT work if you make the original purchase by Paypal! Because Baen process Paypal payments differently you will never be given the option to generate the first gift code. If anyone wants to start a chain they should use a credit card or Baen's micropay system (which I think can be topped up using Paypal before the actual purchase). Quote:

Step 10. I think you must use a valid email address or it get kicked back as delivery failure notice. So do not use a work email address or spam filters will eat it. If you use gmail check your spam folder.
Looks good. bernie |
