Search & replace TEXT

I'm wondering if there is a way to search & replace text within a ebook text using Calibre?

I always run into books that have been scanned OCR and there are TYPOs throughout the book. An example is in some of the Jeffery Deaver Books ... there is a character who's name is Thom (T-h-o-m) which almost always is translated to Thorn if you look close you will see it's being translated to T-h-o-r-n.

I would love to be able to fix those kind of things before I convert and save to my Kindle.

any easy solutions out there?

Use an ebook editor for that, like SIgil and then convert the edited EPUB file to MOBI in calibre

Sigil .2 (now in beta) is lots better (still has a few bugs ) and a HUGE step above .1.9
Please keep this in mind before ruling on Sigil.
