Mark Books for Future Reading

I have a lot of books in my Calibre library and I was wondering if there is a way to mark a book so I can easily find it later for reading.

Often I will come across a book that sounds interesting, but I don't want to read it right away. Days later I cannot even remember what book it was that interested me (old age I guess).

Sure you can. Add a custom column of a type you like and use it for that purpose.

If you do not want to use a custom column you could simply add a tag (e.g. TOREAD) that you can later search and filter on.

Thanks for the quick replies. I will try the custom column.

I have the same problems with Senioritis. I have a custom column titled Unread using the star rating system. I use one star for unread books I'm in no hurry to read, two stars for books, that are high in my reading list, and three stars for books in a series I'm currently reading. I haven't dome so yet but if I encounter a book I really want to read next, no matter what series I'm working on, I can give it four stars. Mayhap something similar will work for you?

I prefer using a custom column over a tag because editing can be easily done from the main screen.

You can edit tags ery easily from the main screen, as well. In fact, you can edit any column easily just by clicking on it or pressing F2 after selecting it.

You can drag books onto a item (tag, series, custom column value) displayed in the tags browser, and that item will be applied to the book.
