Ares won't turn on

The problem of my Ares started from randomly froze. I had to force shutdown it and re-power on for normal boot.

One or two days later it got worse. When I turned the device on, the red power light kept being lid and nothing happened on the screen.

After forcing shutdown and re-power on, the issue repeats.

I left it overnight and the red power light was still on and no screen update in the morning.

I handle the device with care and never dropped it so I don't think the PCB was broken

Is this a sign of degraded or broken eMMC?

Is it possible to do such thing (replacing the eMMC and re-install the firmware) as in this Kindle thread to revive my Ares?
