Seriousness Simple books in English with CD

First of all this is a question about paper books, which is why I posted under the Lounge. What I'm looking for are very simple Easy Reader type books, preferably with an audio CD, in English for Adults. The Easy Reader scene is a bit of a jungle so any tips would be appreciated.

How easy? A Second grade (7 to 8 year old) level book that has better constructed sentences is the Frog and Toad books and you can get the Audio to listen as you read. These are level 2 books for beginning readers that are beyond simple words and very short sentences. As this is for an adult, the stories are more interesting than the simple level one books.

An example is on amazon usa and this contains 4 books.

Thanks but even this is a bit too complicated. I'm looking pre-school, level one with more adult themes. It's for the library I work at.

If it isn't going to be an instruction course, it is very hard to find adult stories at the pre-school to level one levels.

I did find this website: http://www.usborne.com/catalogue/usb...e.aspx?area=YR that had Young Reading CD-ROMs and DVDs. The Wish Fish with interactive CD-ROM was interesting, but it was a kid's story. Sentence construction and words are very basic, but already contain long vowel use and simple sight words. Do you know any English teachers that would have ideas for adult interest very beginning reader books?

I listened to one beginning reader CD and it used a British English voice, but the sentence structure and words were way above the pre-school/level one that you had mentioned.

I agree that it is very difficult to find books, as adults have different levels of understanding when they first start reading in English.

I hope you are able to find just what you need.
