Android Dolphin Browser HD

Hello all. If you wouldn't mind too much I've caught a snag that I think would be better answered by you seasoned pros. I went to download dolphin browser HD v 4.2, and my PE wouldn't install it.

I checked the specs, and the browser required Android 2.0+. Which makes sense if I was still running 1.6, but I upgraded to Ermine (which is 2.2), so why wouldn't that make it work?

Also, I know I'm running ermine because my profile when I log into entourage says that I am (unless it's lying to me).

Also, on a side note, does anyone know how I can download Shazam, or anything like it?

Looks like 4.5 is the latest version of Dolphin HD. Here's the link (copied from the "Resources for New Edge and Pocket Edge Owners" thread): http://www.freewarelovers.com/androi...hin-browser-hd. See if that works better.

Did you try Googling "Shazam apk"? I don't know what it is, so can't help much!

Thanks Filark! Sorry to waste your time, but the problem was that Ermine actually WASNT installed. Once I installed it for real it worked. Oh, and I answered my other question too (thanks to your link) http://www.freewarelovers.com/androi...Shazam_1.2.apk The version is up to 2.5 but the 2.5 wouldn't install. (BTW Shazam is a program that can identify songs by listening to them)

You should be able to find Shazam in the Amazon app store. Download the app for the Amazon App Store, then search for Shazam. SoundHound, BTW, is also nice.

Dolphin HD has many powerful add ons. But all the add on download links point to the market place.
Is there any other place/link where these add ons are available?

Have any of you tried the Miren browser? Think I've tried them all, Dolphin HD (pro ver.), HD min, xScope and Opera mini, and Miren has become my go-to browser. This morning I just discovered a setting called Forum Mode and for the first time was able to read the forum easily. I think other browsers have a Select Text option, but I've never been easily able to get it to work...not w/Miren. To me, it just seems much more intuitive—which, I'm embarrassed to say, is my default MO.

It isn't just me tho, I've recently read some other favorable reviews, LifeHacker and, if I recall correctly, the NYT.
