First connection

I just got the Reader today, and I'm trying to hook it to my computer for authorization. I installed the Connect store fine, but once I attached the Reader to my cradle my computer just popped up some message about unknown USB device, and the Connect software never seems to see the Reader. Is there some kind of driver I need to install for this that doesn't get installed automatically?

Hmm well I found the trouble, when I connect the USB cable directly to the reader everything works fine, I guess it's something about the connection to the cradle it doesn't like.

Mine works fine in the cradle

Did you have power connected as well?

Yes, power was connected to the cradle but it had finished charging.

It looks like the computer didn't recognize the cradle when used first, but once I plugged the Reader in directly, now it seems to recognize it through the cradle as well.
