Calibre -- No Cover File After Upgrade

I have now completely uninstalled Calibre and reinstalled 0.8.58 I am still having the original problem of no cover or .opf file being sent to my device. I have used Calibre for almost a year with no problem until this. I have no idea what else to do. Is there anybody out there who could please help me with this problem. Please help. Thank you.

I have upgraded to 0.8.55 since my original post. Now, not only am I not getting a .jpg or an .opf when I send to device. All these books have been converted from epub to epub before sending. I have used Calibre for over a year with no issues until these last 2 upgrades. Can somebody out there please offer some help? Anybody? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I recently upgraded to 0.8.54 on Ubuntu 10.04. Since then, I no longer receive a cover file (.jpg) when I send to my device (Next2 Android ver 2.1). Only .epub file shows up in device folder. Any help is appreciated.
