Sounds in Book Designer

I like to listen to music on my computer while working on books. The GUNSHOT drives me up a tree. I've tried deleting the sound files which does no good.

Has any one figured out how to eliminate all sounds?

In the options (screwdriver icon) is a checkbox for the sounds. Uncheck and it won't go bang.

Go to the "Settings" dialog, and clear the "Play Sounds" checkbox.

it's not so bad now that I am using my laptop. but when I was doing books on my PC, and my PC is 7.1 sorround sound which I have to keep turned up as I can only control the volume remotely on the PC side or in the media players, when I make a book. BANG! and you can hear that from any room in my house. its loud.

for me it sometimes likes to reset itself

go to program files\book designer 4.0\sounds

and replace GUNSHOT.wav with a text file you rename it to gunshot.wav.

Remember to always check your settings, and always check to make sure Book Cleaner files are up and working. Not every time, but once in a while.
