Launchpad shortcut to Web Browser?

I'm new to all of this and was wondering what files I needed to modify in order to add a shortcut that would allow me to go straight to the web browser from the Home page.

Any advice would be helpful. And thanks in advance.

Create a simple text document with the links you are interested in. You don't need to include the http part. So, for example, a line for the Washington Post mobile edition could read:

www.twp.com

Then, email the document to your free.kindle.com address as an email attachment.

It will be delivered to your device, where it will be a new book, and you will be able to click on the addresses as links.

There is a significant learning curve to getting the most from the Kindle browser. Many other tips are elsewhere on this site.

Yeah, it's pretty limited. But, if you don't try to do heavy browsing, you'll be ok.

I generally just use Wikipedia since it's pretty lightweight.

This is the Launchpad action that you want:

Code:
## Launch the Kindle Web browser from the Experimental page.
B = #'k3_Home' 'Menu' 'k3_FW_Down' 'k3_FW_Down' 'k3_FW_Down' 'k3_FW_Down' 'k3_FW_Down' 'k3_FW_Down' 'k3_FW_Down' 'k3_FW_Press' 'k3_FW_Up' 'k3_FW_Press'
Then, you simply press Shift-B to launch the browser from the home screen.

I've also attached an INI file than you can unzip and drop into the "launchpad" folder on your Kindle.

Don't forget to do Shift-Shift-Space after you've added this action and ejected the Kindle from your computer.
Attached Files
File Type: zip launch_browser.ini.zip (691 Bytes, 618 views)
