I've lost another EBook.

I bought the following E-Book and received a Download file for it: Account_of_Trade_Union_Struggles_at_British_Leylan d_in_the_Turbulent_1970s_An_-_Bill_Mullins.epub (0.5 MByte

I am faced with the problem caused by my near computerised incompetence.

I have a number of EBooks in a Kindle folder and another number of EBooks in a Kobo folder.
When I opened the Email the Bill Mullins book a message appeared saying something like, “We will not be downloading books to your Kindle folder in future and you should select an app where they should go. I may have got that wrong but I did not copy the message and I have no idea how to find it now.
Although I don't know how I did it I did select a new app but now I have no idea where the EBook went to although I can still find it through your Email but its an unsatisfactory state of affairs so could anyone suggest how I find the EBook floating around in my computer..

A couple of suggestions...

In the new app, see if there is something like "Details" or "Information" for the book.

Do a global search of the computer for part of the file name using Windows explorer.

Many thanks for that. I found it in File Explorer but with no idea how it got there. Regrettable I did not take a note of the App I used and I have no idea how to move this book to where it should be or even to move it to Kindle or Kobo.

Are you working on Windows as John expected?

If yes, and you can find the book, you can simply right click the file in the explorer and choose cut.

Then go to your Kindle or Kobo folder, right click in an empty space and choose past.

That should move the book to the folder you went to.

If you are not on a Windows PC, tell us what you are using and we will try to help.
