I live in the UK but work for a German owned company. This means I work about a week a month in Germany with my German colleagues (I'm part of a team of 11; 9 Germans and 2 from the UK).

Earlier this week we had a team building exercise to address (amongst other things) any inter-cultural Germany/UK differences. I suggested that if it's a Germany v England World Cup final that I'd go over to Germany to watch it with them - that'd test our ability to put national differences aside

It was more around differences specific to our company I think. Personally, I find my German colleagues to be pretty easy to get along with (although I'm always embarrassed at my lack of the German language and their mastery of English).
