does kindle app for Nook ST have a collections options?

Have been looking for a suitable mobi/prc reader for my NST, and believe that the Kindle App is probably the best. BUT - I can't organize my mobi books into collections. On checking on the internet it appears that the kindle app does not have a collections option. Hard for me to believe because this is so basic! Is this true? and if so is there any way to add a collections option to the kindle app?

Correct, the Kindle for Android app does not have collections, only the Kindle eInk devices and the desktop apps have collections at the moment.
