Direct downloads from web to Kindle?
Hi everyone, I was wondering if there´s a way do download epub books from sources other than amazon - say, project gutenberg - other than through the USB cable. Is it feasible from the web browser?
Thanks! |

Kindle does not read ePub. You can download .mobi/.prc books, though. A couple of sites, including this one, have guides that you can download to the Kindle, then use to download other books via links.

http://m.gutenberg.org - Mobile version of the Gutenberg site. This one is awesome. If you go to this website using your Kindle, you can download the Kindle versions right to your Kindle with no charge or fee.
http://www.feedbooks.com - Thousands of free eBooks. Download the Kindle format. They also have a mobile version of the website which is worth checking out - click on Help at the bottom of the webpage. And you can download a catalog to transfer to your Kindle which then allows you to download eBooks instantly via your Kindle |

Don't forget http://mnybks.net (from Kindle's browser) or http://manybooks.net/ from your computer. They have a good selection in many languages.
