I tried it--living large, y'know? Yick. I mean, yes, I ate it. It wasn't inedible, but I damn sure wouldn't do it again. That's what I get for not taking the time this weekend to make the granola. Grumble....

I'm planning my meals for next week.
I'm going house sitting for a week from Tuesday. The current weather prediction is that the first couple of days temperatures won't rise over 1C, which is cold. Normally I cycle to the nearby supermarket and do my shopping. But I'm a self-confessed good weather cyclist and since I already have to cycle over to my friends' place in the morning (when it will be well below freezing) I don't feel like cycling to the supermarket. So I've decided to have it delivered. My grandfather used to say he was rather lazy than tired. In this case I'm rather warm than frozen. I'm not used to meal planning, at least for more than a couple of days. |

I'm on the phone with a guy who is telling me that his book was "transmitted" to him by Aliens.

Watching the snow falling. So far, it's not sticking. That's the third time this season it's snowed. That's too many times. It needs to stop doing this. Once a year is plenty.

So on my dog walk this morning, I amended Elton John's "The B**ch Is Back" song, and sang to my dog: Oh, the grass, yeah the grass, yeah the grass is back! Stone cold soggy, as a matter of fact. I'm not sure the dog was impressed, though she liked having grass to sniff. |

It's still lightly snowing and starting to stick. I'm not a happy monkey. Luckily, I don't have to go anywhere until Friday. Quote:

On Sunday my sister and I went to the shopping center near her apartment. In one of the shops we visited they sold mini toolboxes in two sizes. I thought they were cute, almost bought one, but couldn't think what I'd use it for.
Today I was putting together some planner supply things together to take with my when house sitting next week. And I realized that the bigger of those tool boxes would be ideal for those supplies: pens, stamps, stencils and some chalk ink pads. It's too cold to cycle over to the branch near my sister's place, but there's also a branch, a smaller one, near my friends' place. So next week I'll have a look if they sell them. Also: I'm not allowed to buy pens anymore. I've got a huge amount of gel pens and fineliners for my planner and I need to use those up before I'm allowed to order more. |

I have secret stashes of pens and pencils--seriously. I hide them so that they don't go walkabout with nefarious spouses that don't appreciate the distinction between a promotional pen from some guy selling something, and my much-loved mechanical pencils and pens, lol. I'm like the guy that needs a writing implement 12-step program, ha! Hitch |

Currently I have on hand: a set of 8 fineliners from the department store Hema (currently my main writing set), a set of 24 Staedler fineliners, a set of 12 Gelly Roll glitter pens, a set of 48 gel pens from AliExpress, a set of 24 fineliner pens and a set of 6 Frixion pens. Then I have a bunch of gel pens that I bought separately. Last night I caught myself looking at a set of 100 gel pens on Ali. It's getting ridiculous. |
