Part of the markup for pages on the site include a javascript program from googlesyndication. The script reads the contents of the page and runs it through the Google Adwords "database", which returns advertisements which are part of the final markup the user sees.
Advertisers bid on keywords, and the highest bidder for a particular word or phrase gets their ad served up proportionately more than other bidders. Google shares an undisclosed percentage of the revenue with sites that host Goolge Ads. Yes, then, it's our own words which are driving the advertisements. Beer, Beer, Girls in bikinis, Girls girls, beer. Lingerie models. beer. Last edited by Taylor514ce; 08-18-2008 at 12:43 PM. |

You're screwing up the thread, umm, girl. Girls. Bikini. Callipygous Swimsuit Models.
I have the utmost confidence that someone, somewhere, has bid for the keyword "callipygous" and I can't wait to see the ad. |

Ah well; let's try and make Taylor happy: Girls. Bikini. Callipygous Swimsuit Models.
(This probably means that there'll be yet another ad from a matrimonial agency with Russian ladies.) |

Christian Science and Scientology are different things. No such thing as "Christian Scientology." In fact, I'm certain that Scientology doesn't have anything to do with Christianity. As I recall it's got to do with aliens from outer space who "seeded" us ... and like that there. Now, don't you all wish I hadn't bothered to point this out??? |

No No! Don't pollute the Callimammapygian Swimsuit Model thread with those... other... terms. Beer. Girls drinking beer. Pimped out lama-riding redheaded girls in leotards.
