Sounds liked we may have to wait until after the next CES.

Hope they can make their November window..but seems like 2011 is more realistic.
(not sure why the author repeats that tired "A-GPS" isn't "true" GPS thing. The non-3G iPad doesn't have any GPS at all. The 3G iPad has "A-GPS", which means true GPS plus assisted GPS). |

I'd like to see an itouch/iphone type device with pixel Qi screen tech - and without the Apple lock-in/lock-down...that's what I'm hoping for.

Rohan Shravan of Notion Ink has commented on the SlashGear article and implied that they might file for FCC approval as early as October. I hope they are more successful than Irex was last year.

$50.00 additional for the chi screen which is supposed to cost less is a bit of a stretch.
If the OLPC tablet comes out anytime soon with the chi screen and a cost closer to $100.00 it will put a bit of egg on their face. |

The OLPC 3.0 tablet won't appear until 2012, at the earliest. It's just a concept, at this stage.

It would be a simple case of supply and demand even if it is true that the new screen tech from a single company is cheaper than lcds that can be bought from a vast number of suppliers.

I would love to have one for Christmas but it seems that the chances of that are slim, especially if they stagger the release and start with India and the US.

I hear it will be a smartphone. Although I would prefer that they make a 7" and 5" version of the Adam which shall be appropriately called the Cain (7") and Abel (5") and will be competing against Sony, Samsung, Borders, Amazon, B&N, RIM, Dell and the rumored 7" iPad from Apple.
