Free (iTunes) Tasting Chef's Recipes: Summer 2012 Cookbook [Enhanced Recipes]

Tasting Table Chefs' Recipes: Summer Cookbook 2012 (Enhanced Edition) by Tasting Table is a multimedia version of exactly what it says in the title, free courtesy of the eponymous website.

Currently free @ iTunes (available to Canadians). This is a 101 MB file, so if you've a slow connection or pay $$$ for your 3G service, you might want to download via your computer and transfer later. You'll also need at least an iPad 2 to view it.

This is a weekly feature freebie in the iTunes store (at least the Canadian version) and thus unlikely to show up elsewhere.

Description
With grills primed and popsicle sticks at the ready, TastingTable.com is proud to present a celebration of summer eating in its new digital book, Tasting Table Chefs’ Recipes: 2012 Summer Cookbook. This enhanced edition of the book features 28 exclusive recipes, which range from frozen treats to main courses and cocktails from top chefs and bartenders across the country, including Michael Tusk of Cotogna in San Francisco, Michael Solomonov of Federal Donuts in Philadelphia and Alex Stupak of Empellón in New York City. As an added bonus, the book includes the following Multi-Touch features: three exclusive videos, four step-by-step Multi-Touch slide shows and five specially designed menus for simple summer entertaining.

Download Tasting Table Chefs' Recipes: 2012 Summer Cookbook and enjoy such recipes as Bloody Mary Popsicles, Watermelon Gazpacho, Skirt Steak Tacos, Peach Pop Tarts and Sweet Tea Pie. Every recipe is carefully tested in the Tasting Table Test Kitchen and designed for easy weeknight cooking to ensure you get delicious results every time you cook one of the recipes. In addition, special icons identify recipes that are no-cook, fast (30 minutes or less), make-ahead or picnic-friendly—so you’re sure to find a dish for any and every occasion.

TastingTable Chefs’ Recipes 2012 Summer Cookbook includes handpicked recipes from the following chefs: Shiho Yoshikawa of Sweet Rose Creamery in Santa Monica, CA; Ken Oringer of Coppa in Boston; Giuseppe Tentori of GT Fish & Oyster in Chicago; Jason Fox of Commonwealth in San Francisco; William Kovel of Catalyst in Cambridge, MA; Marc Vetri of Amis in Philadelphia; Paul Virant of Perennial Virant in Chicago; Will Preisch of Bent Brick in Portland, OR; Thomas McNaughton of Flour + Water in San Francisco; Matthew Accarrino of SPQR in San Francisco; Michael Tusk of Cotogna in San Francisco; Mike Isabella of Graffiato in Washington, D.C.; Alex Stupak of Empellón in New York; Brian Malarkey of Burlap in San Diego, CA; Steven Brown of Tilia in Minneapolis; Michael Solomonov of Federal Donuts in Philadelphia; Tiffany MacIsaac of Buzz Bakery in Arlington, VA; Michael Voltaggio of Ink.sack in Los Angeles; and Taff Mayberry of Lucy's Fried Chicken in Austin, TX.

Although technically drm-free, this is apparently in a proprietary format. I have the same book in EPUB from a Starbucks freebie last month; this one is "IBOOKS" instead.

The epub, btw, is formatted quite badly, so only looks decent on the iPad.
