My Fire has a dead pixel will BB replace?
So, I'm browsing the web on my Kindle Fire last night when I kept noticing a bit a schmutz on the screen, turns out it's a dead pixel almost in the center.
It's still useable, but with the pixel right there in the center of the screen it's really noticeable and distracting. Does anyone know if Best Buy's extended warranty covers dead pixels? |

I would hold their feet to the fire on it. (No Pun) Amazon would replace it so BB should also!

That's a hardware defect, so if they didn't, that would be against the warranty.

Well, it turned out better than I expected. They were ready to replace it, and I asked about getting an HD. My original Kindle Fire + $40 got me a new Fire HD. It's pretty.

Extended warranties are nice. My KF has a dead pixel but it's on the side of the screen that you can't see it at all. I'm sure it was there when Amazon sent it to me as a replacement from the one that died on me. I just never looked for it before. Enjoy your KFHD! |

Yeah, it ate up my warranty, but it was worth it. I'd actually have kept my original Fire if the pixel hadn't been right near the center of the screen. But I found myself constantly reaching for the screen to wipe it off. It would have driven me nuts.
