Kindle Touch Int available?

Any word on when the Kindle Touch (with or without 3G) will be available directly from Amazon for us outside the US?

Last time I was chatting online with a rep they said they should be out in plenty of time for Christmas, but who knows. Front line agents are the last I find anything out and the release date will have to be very soon if they want to guarantee a Christmas delivery. I was torn between the Sony PRS-T1 and the kindle touch. From the Sony forums it looks like a firmware update is coming soon to fix the freezing glitch and with no definite date for the KT I guess Amazon will be deciding for me. Amazon will be shooting themselves in the foot this Christmas if the touch is not available outside the US very soon. Most people I know are finishing up their Xmas shopping, so this holiday season will have lower sales compared to what they could have had. Puts a sour taste in people's mouth. There is a world outside the US border.
