Retailers have ruined Black Friday

Welcome to Black October

Last year (02 Dec), conan50 predicted BF would begin 01 Oct and it began last Monday when Target started their Black Friday sales and last Tuesday when Amazon started their sales. I'd say he nailed it.

Starting this month, some of the stores have already extended their return dates to sometime in Jan 2023 and guarantee price matching throughout the holiday season. That should remove any qualms about purchasing early only to find a lower price later on. This does NOT apply to all stores.

Target Confirms Black Friday & Holiday Plans

Target issued a press release this morning confirming their holiday plans for this year. You can read the full press release here for all the details but it's what we suspected. Target will have Black Friday deals in each of their weekly ads leading up to their main Black Friday sale in late November.

Target's weekly ads will show up here on the site and on Target.com on Friday so you'll have a few days to check them out before they start on Sundays. Target says they will also have a new Deal of the Day every day until Christmas Eve including major brands such as Apple, KitchenAid & Nintendo.

Best Buy Black Friday Plans Announced + Big Sale This Week

Best Buy has announced their Black Friday plans. First of all, Best Buy will have a 2-day flash sale tomorrow and Wednesday to compete with Amazon's Prime Early Access sale. Next, Best Buy will have many of their Black Friday deals available starting on Monday, October 24th.

Best Buy will start their actual Black Friday sale on November 17th for Totaltech members, on the 18th for My Best Buy members and on the 20th for everyone. We expect some deals held for this sale that won't be available in the late October sale, as well as possible some Black Friday-only deals.
