Just joined as I have just purchased a Kindle and iphone and I am interested in getting the best out of these things. I live in Australia and travel overseas quite a bit hence the kindle purchase ... but I am having some charging problems already... I will post my problem next post. In the future I am looking forward to hearing good news as well as resolving the difficulties.

Hi raedurham and welcome to MobileRead.
I first visited Perth shortly after you lot won the America's Cup. Anyway, I wandered into a pub and announced that you all had won the America's Cup which meant you had also won America and we do like breakfast at 7:00 am if you please. I couldn't buy a beer for the rest of the night! |

Well a couple of weeks have gone by as a new Kindle owner and I am afraid it is all bad news. My Kindle has never worked properly, it just freezes up at every turn on and page flip....and now it is frozen solid and will not turn on or off. I have contacted the Help desk and they cannot get it working so it back to the beginning with a new one eventually I guess. The unfortunately thing is that I am off on an overseas holiday tomorrow, including the US, and the Kindle was going to be my answer to a bag full of books. So I am hundreds of dollars out of pocket, no e reader and very little satisfaction.
My feeling at the moment...don't buy a Kindle if you are in Australia, wait for the Ipad, I just love my Iphone so have high expectations. |
