Conversion of Mobipocket dictionaries to read on Sony

Is it possible to convert the commercially available foreign language translation dictionaries from Collins or Oxford that are in the Mobipocket format (presumably with DRM?) to read on a Sony 600?

If so , are the search and lookup facilities in Mobipocket still functional on the Sony?

thanks

any suggestions

Thanks for that unequivocal reply.

Do you have any suggestions as to how i could obtain a decent foreign language dictionary to use on a Sony - I am keen on having a touch screen in order to add translations, grammar notes to the text of books.

thanks for your help

Hello. I recently learned that the current Sony Readers come with quite good built-in foreign language translation dictionaries. The Sony Reader Pocket Edition is $149 right now at Borders (US). The included dictionaries alone would cost more than that if you bought print copies! For some of us, this is an important feature that Kindle and Nook don't have yet. The languages included are Spanish, French, Italian, German and Dutch. All of the dictionaries are English to/from the foreign language (as opposed to monolingual foreign language dictionaries or multilingual translation dictionaries). The Sony Readers also come with the New Oxford American Dictionary and the Oxford Dictionary of English, which are the same English dictionaries that the latest Kindle has.
