Good for them! It was sad to see their troubles, because while not perfect, they brought some really nice early innovations to the e-book world. Some of what they did might even be called spectacular, even if the whole package had some weaknesses.
Let's hope that decades from now, iRex is still going strong, contributing new ideas and products to the e-book world. |

I'm glad to see that iRex is recovering from its troubles. I hope to see many great new e-book related products from them!

Go IRX! Let's hope they turn their fortunes around. These people are the pioneers of e-reading.

There is some speculation, that wasn't denied by PocketBook representatives that Irex was acquired by PocketBook.
Imagine Irex hardware with PocketBook software ... |

I always liked IREX readers, the only thing stopping me from buying one was the fact that I'd need a mortgage to get one.
I hope IRX are able to produce cheaper readers. |

What does that mean in products. Will they resume the 1000S? Will there be more innovative products?

Thde article doesn't say. It does say (now, after an update) that they will also start licensing their technology to others and that they already signed a deal with an (unnamed) Asian company.
