So now it appears that the 7.8" devices are still in production, only the 6" ones are done. At least hopefully I will get a preview from other people with the 6" ones to properly temper my expectations.

I never received the device, and those that did receive them are severely disappointed. If you come here from the future and are curious if you should back a Topjoy kickstarter then my advice is no.

The last "update" is from 5 month ago.
They pinned a statement regarding the ongoing issues to the comment section (instead of a post on the update page).

According to this statement about 400 people have not yet recieved their device. They (still) blame the pandemic and a delay in screen production, but promise that they are still working on fullfilling every order.

The second paragraph about the software issues, I cannot fully decipher... It sounds like they want to do something about it, eventually...

Someone in the comments noticed, that GoodEreader has listed a "Topjoy Butterfly 7.8 Gen 2" device in their store, which is supposed to be released in September (2023). Maybe (hopefully!) that is what the rest of the bakers will recieve:

I have not got any response. It's hard because there is a deluge of complaints so getting noticed in all the unhappy people is a bit difficult.
