At the moment there is no realy good e-ink reader for comic/manga.
A good comic reader should have color. there is only the jetbook with color e-ink but it has a annoyingly grey screen and is slow. m92 + pocketbook 9.7" is both ok. but i wouldnt pay 300 euro + for average hardware and functions just for reading black/white comics. either you wait or you go for a tablet. if you only want to read mangas (most of them are black/white and smaller) you can go for a 6" xga e-ink display reader. |

For me its totaly fine with IriverHD but i have eyesight of nearly 100% with my glasses. A classic manga like ranma fits perfect into 6". A little bit bigger like akira was already tiring for my eyes.

Good morning starr974,
you can read manga on a 6" ereader without a problem. I've read them on my Kobo Touch. Here's a video about manga on a Sony PRS-T1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AguEbIKOb4M Since I've got my Galaxy Note, I read all my manga and western comics on my phone. With 5.3", the screen is even a bit smaller, but since it reacts way faster than any eInk device, a little zooming from time to time is no problem. If you're going to buy an ereader especially for manga reading, you should look for a device with decent pdf-features, landscape mode and microSD-slot. Alternatively, you could also look for a cheap tablet. I'm going to buy an Ainol Novo 7 Aurora after my holidays. I'll use it mainly for reading and some occasional (cough cough) android gaming and I think, it's a comfortable and affordable alternative for comic reading purposes. |

Then you should check out some reviews of the JetbookColor. If you want a big e-reader for reading comics/mangas you should definitively take account of this device.
You can find a good one here: http://goodereader.com/blog/electron...nds-on-review/ (these guys are a bit too enthusiastic about the new color feature) And you can find a long discussion here at this forum: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=170312 + comic review: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=167939 And I would discourage you from buying a device like M92. It's like 100 - 150 $ cheaper than the JetbookColor and it is maybe faster. But it is still not perfect, somehow blurry and you will miss the colors. But as i said - atm go for a tablet... |

I would like buy tablet too (for manage my collection for exemple) , but my eyes are very tired when i read on my LCD screen (my computer) so im afraid that i cant read long time on tablet with LCD screen.... JetbookColor still expensive for me.... Maybe i need to wait for chrismass, maybe other ereader will come out?!.... |

it's not really for he "perfect reader" but for the cheapest ereader
i think, they are too expensive (as all new technology) 300/350€ for read manga , it's too expensive...i prefer buy Ipad, you can do more things (videos, read with color, manage your collection, games, applications, mail, ect...) If i was rich, i buy 1 pocketbook now, but im not^^ so i prefer wait the end of this year .... |

It is slow, grey and has an ugly user interface. But it has colors and you won't miss that while reading comics.

The recommendation for the irverHD was a good one, but you might not find them easily. The eink screen performs really well with its higher resolution for b&w comics. I loaded the Scott Pilgrim series on it and it did perfectly well for reading them.
I used a kindle utility to convert some color comics to 16 shaded grey scale and they were pretty good on it also. |
